Gay Todsen,
Foundation Assistant for Angel
Medical Center
Gay Todsen recently joined the Foundation
for Angel Medical Center to work as an assistant to Executive
Director Bea Sanford. She has been a member of the AMC Auxiliary
since June 2006 and is currently serving a two-year term
as Treasurer and member of the Auxiliary Board.
After receiving a Bachelor of Business
Administration from Texas Tech University, Gay worked as
a savings and loan examiner for the Federal Home Loan Bank
Board in Texas and Florida. She left government service
for a career in banking with Guaranty Federal Savings and
Loan in St. Petersburg, Florida, which later became a division
of Goldome, a savings bank based in Buffalo, New York. During
this time, she discovered her interest in accounting and
took a leave of absence to attend the University of South
Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts, a Masters
of Accountancy, and was subsequently licensed as a CPA.
She returned to her employer, Goldome, and became an Assistant
Vice President and Director of Strategic Planning.
“I feel that the objectives of the
Foundation and the Auxiliary are very similar. Although
they work in different ways, both organizations are working
to support the mission of Angel Medical Center. I hope there
will be opportunities to combine their strengths and talents
of each organization to accomplish even more for the hospital.”
