Lawrence M. “Pat”
Patton, Jr.
Pat is a graduate of Davidson College and
the University of North Carolina School of Law. He recently
retired following thirty-three years of practice with the
firm of Jones, Key, Melvin & Patton, PA, where he was
a partner. Pat has served multiple terms on the Board of
the Macon County Arts Council, and the Advisory Board of
First Citizens Bank. He was President of the Thirtieth Judicial
District Bar Association and Chair of the Bar Candidate
Committee of the North Carolina Board of Law Examiners for
the Thirtieth Judicial District. Pat and his wife, Donna,
enjoy travel, reading, cooking, and gardening.
“My principal reason for serving on the Foundation
Board arises from the need of our Medical Center for an
established and significant base of community support and
involvement, above and beyond the management and direction
provided by the Board of Trustees and the CEO. We have many
people in the community who possess the skills and the means
to ensure the growth and stability of Angel Medical Center,
and the goal of the Foundation is to provide direction for
those resources.”
