Treatment Plans
Overview-
A treatment plan CT takes images of the area targeted by your
Oncologist. You will be scanned and positioned according to
the Oncologists specific instructions.
Preparation-
There is no preparation for the procedure.
You may be asked to bring a positioning device with you from
the Oncologists office. Please remember to bring it or we
will not be able to do the test.
Length of exam-
The Treatment Plan CT will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
How is the exam performed?
You will be asked to remove any metallic objects from the
area of interest and you may be asked to change into a gown.
You will need to lie on a hard CT table for this procedure.
The CT scanner will take images for your Oncologist.
Results-
You Oncologist will use the images acquired from this test
to plan your radiation treatment. Please talk to the Oncologist
for the results of the test.
