Bone Density CT Scan

Overview-
The CT scanner at Angel Medical Center is equipped with a Bone Density package. We will take approximately five images of your spine. We take measurements from these images to calculate your bone density.

Preparation-
Please wear comfortable clothing with no metallic zippers or buttons to avoid changing into a gown.

Length of exam-
The Bone Density Exam will take approximately 15 minutes.

How is the exam performed?
You will be asked to lie on the CT table while the machine takes images of your spine.

Results-
Please contact your physician for the results of your test. The results will be available within a couple of days.
