CT Scan
Overview-
A sinus CT scan demonstrates “cross sectional”
images of the sinuses.
Preparation-
There is no preparation required.
Length of exam-
The sinus CT scan will take approximately 15 minutes.
How is the exam performed?
You will be asked to remove any jewelry, hearing aids, or
removable dental work from the area around your head. You
will lie on the CT table on you stomach with your chin resting
on the CT table. The CT table will move in and out of the
scanner while it takes images of your sinuses.
Results-
Please contact your physician for the results of your test.
The results will be available within a couple of days.
