Mammography
The Mammography Department at Angel Medial Center has two
GE Mammography machines and a R2 CAD Detector. The department
is accredited by the American College of Radiology(ACR) and
the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the staff are highly
trained in the field of mammography.
We are also pleased to announce that we are the ONLY Softer
Touch Mammography facility in the area. This product helps
elevate the painful feeling of a mammogram or reduce it significantly.
This is an additional charge to your mammogram so please ask
the technologist if you are interested.
Once your mammogram is completed, the technologist will process
your films through the R2 reader. This system works in addition
to the radiologists reading of your films. It can pick up
20-30% more breast cancer detection. It is also approved by
the ACR and the FDA.

If you have had your previous mammogram at another facility,
please get these films before your mammogram appointment at
Angel Medical Center if at all possible. There is a form attached
to the bottom of this page that can allow us to get the films
for you. Please fill out the form and send it to us before
your appointment date.
