Overview-
This test involves labeling your own red blood cells with
a radioactive tracer to evaluate for abdominal bleeding.

How is the exam performed?
The technologist will start an IV in your arm. He/she will
then draw out a small amount of blood. The blood will be tagged
with a radioactive tracer, which takes about 20 minutes. The
blood will then be reinjected into your IV. You will lie very

continuous images. The technologist will then remove the IV
and the test will be complete.
