Radiology Exams

The Radiology Department has three radiograph rooms that can perform procedures ranging from routine xrays of extremities to fluoroscopic and tomographic procedures on internal organs. Angel Medical Center also has two portable xray machines as well as three machines in surgery. We link all our radiographs into a state of the art Picture Archiving Computer System (PACS).

The field of Radiology was first invented in 1895 by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen. The first radiographs of a hand took over 30 minutes with constant radiation to perform. Now it only takes less than 1 second to obtain an image. Technology has changed over the years and so have we.
