Extremities
Overview-
An extremity xray looks at the bones in the affected area.
It can show the physician if fractures or any other abnormalities
are present.
Preparation-
No preparation is required.
Length of exam-
The extremity xray will take approximately 15 minutes.
How is the exam performed?
You will be taken to an xray room and the affected body part
will be placed on top of the radiographic cassettes. Several
images of the extremity will be taken in different views to
show the radiologist all aspects of your bones.
Results-
Please contact your physician for the results of your test.
The results will be available within a couple of days.
