Spine
Overview-
A spine radiograph looks at portions of your spine. It can
show the radiologist and your physician problems with the
bones in your spine. Images can be taken of the different
portions of the neck (cervical), upper back (thoracic), lower
back (lumber, sacrum or coccyx).
Preparation-
There is no preparation needed.
Length of exam-
This exam will take approximately 15 minutes.
How is the exam performed?
You will be asked to remove any type of metal or zippers from
the spinal area being examined. You may be asked to put on
a gown. The technologist will position you on the table and
take images of your spine.
Results-
Please contact your physician for the results of your test.
The results will be available within a couple of days.
