ANGEL MEDICAL CENTER Our Rehabilitation Staff are dynamic and energetic professionals who provide quality patient care to each patient, children and adults, in a friendly interactive environment. The therapists of each discipline or service (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy) perform a comprehensive evaluation during the initial visit and establishes a plan of care individualized to the specific needs of the patient based on the evaluation findings. Occupational Therapy (O.T.) Occupational Therapy is a health care profession providing evaluation, treatment and consultation to help individuals achieve a maximum level of independence by developing skills and abilities interfered with by disease, emotional disorder, physical injury, the aging process, or impaired development. Occupational therapists use purposeful activities, exercises and education as well as specially designed orthotic and prosthetic devices to reduce specific impairments, improve their activities of daily living (ADLs) and to help individuals achieve independence at home and in the work place. At Angel Medical Center, the Occupational Therapy Department is comprised of both registered Occupational Therapists (OTR/L) and certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA). We treat patients of all ages on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Physical Therapy (P.T.) Treatment modalities may be used as well as a wide variety of exercise programs. Patients are provided education specific to their needs to help prevent additional injury in the future.
